The Ecole Hôtelière de Genève is located in Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva, in the heart of the city’s diplomatic district and close to the largest international organisations. The EHG is currently ranked 10th best hotel school worldwide.

Founded in Neuchâtel in 1914 by Gastrosuisse (21,000 members), the École des Cafètiers-restaurateurs is the official training institute for the hotel and catering industry in French-speaking Switzerland. In 1951, the school moved to 12 Avenue de la Paix, Geneva, to the house that was home to Rodolphe Töpffer.

The graduation ceremony of Hotel Management School of Geneva is held every six months in the magnificent Assembly Hall at the United Nations Palais des Nations in Geneva.

To celebrate its centenary in 2014, the Ecole Hôtelière de Genève organised a fabulous party in its gardens. The theme was decidedly Swiss! 700 guests welcomed by 7 Alpine horns, Old Grenadiers in grand uniforms, cannon fire by the Geneva artillery company, flags, a performance, fireworks and of course sumptuous buffets with the following themes – the Lake Geneva region, the Alps, Ticino and German-speaking Switzerland.

Most of the renovation work at the Hotel Management School of Geneva involved creating new living and study areas for students.
In this newly created space, we have built a bar and L’Entre’Actes, the restaurant for students and employees. It is also a space that students can use during the day and evening to meet and work on their joint projects.
