The GRTA label identifies agricultural products from the Geneva region and concerns all agricultural products at each stage of their processing, from field to plate.

The guarantee mark also contributes to bringing farmers and consumers closer together by facilitating access to local products.

The 4 values of the GRTA label, Geneva Region – Terre Avenir

Quality: the quality of Geneva’s agricultural products. It is the freshness, diversity and taste of the products, respect for the environment and the rejection of genetically modified plants and animals.
Proximity: proximity creates a bond of trust between farmers and consumers. Proximity means 100% Geneva products, free zones and reduced transport.
Traceability: traceability enables the control of the production chain. Traceability means controlling the visibility of products from field to plate.
Fairness: Fairness guarantees fair working conditions and respect for collective agreements. Fairness means ensuring a fair income from agricultural work.

A label for restaurants that promote local products

Since 2015, the “Geneva Région-Terre Avenir” (GRTA) platform has been honouring the chefs of GRTA-labelled collective and private restaurants through the Les Toqués de GRTA competition as part of the Automnales.

On a daily basis, the managers of the Geneva Signé EHG restaurants promote the products of Geneva and its region by offering 2 to 3 GRTA-certified products in their menus every day. Eating local and contributing to the development of the regional economy is a long-standing commitment of the company.
