The Hospitality School, a higher school
Since 1996, the Hotel Management School of Geneva has been recognised as a School of Higher Education (ES) as an institution of public utility by the cantonal governments and the Swiss Confederation.
The cantonal authority participates actively in the final examinations and its name is recognised and protected by the Swiss Confederation.
The Hotel Management School’s ecosystem is made up of several entities,

Confronted with the reality of the field, students are gradually integrated into the various positions in service, reception, room, kitchen, bar, booking and housekeeping.
Promotion and patrons
Admittedly exciting but complex, the first steps in this profession are accompanied by a godfather or godmother of promotion.
The students of each new class (every 6 months) have the honour of being sponsored during their entire course by a great professional from the hotel and catering industry or from the Geneva business world, in order to encourage proximity and exchange.
The patrons ensures, among other things:

- A meeting of the students with the executives of his or her company.

An International recognition
The diploma of « ES » (Ecole Supérieure) Hotel and Restaurant Manager is widely appreciated and recognized nationally and internationally.
Holders of a diploma awarded by the Hotel Management School Geneva (EHG) are exempt from the cantonal restaurateur’s examination.
However, the graduate will have to complete the compulsory administrative procedures to obtain authorisation to operate an establishment.
The diploma also confers on its holder the title of “maître d’apprentissage”.
