Hotel internships

Practical experience at the heart of training

Through its internship office, the École Hôtelière de Genève offers a wide range of opportunities and regularly organizes a recruitment forum. At this event, more than 50 leading companies in the hotel industry come to look for tomorrow’s talent.

By following the generalist curriculum, our students accumulate up to 18 months of professional experience, making them sought-after candidates as soon as they graduate. EHG students benefit from an exclusive platform offering hundreds of internship opportunities.

Thanks to a solid training program combining theory and practice, they are supported in their efforts to secure an internship, with the final step towards an interview and a job being left to the student. Students who already have at least 6 months’ experience in Switzerland have the opportunity to carry out their internships directly abroad.

Through our partnerships, we enable some to benefit from financial assistance to cover travel costs to their international destinations, offering opportunities for all.

Internships that turn talent into experts

The first course

Your first internship takes place in Switzerland, where you’ll have the opportunity to put the theory you’ve learned in the classroom into practice. It’s here that you’ll learn the basics of hospitality, discovering the nuts and bolts of the business and immersing yourself in the quality standards that will make you a better manager in the future.

This internship is a crucial step in understanding the essence of service and hospitality, skills that are fundamental to success in this field.

The second course

During your second internship, you’ll have the opportunity to travel abroad for an international experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover new countries, immerse yourself in different cultures and broaden your professional horizons.

This enriching experience will enable you to develop a global understanding of the industry and adapt to multicultural environments, a valuable asset for your career.

The third stage

Your third and final internship is designed to prepare you for successful entry into management roles. It’s the culmination of your time at EHG, where you’ll put into practice everything you’ve learned, while developing the skills you need to take on leadership responsibilities.

This final course is the best preparation for a smooth transition to a high-level career.
