A Partnership of Excellence with

Institute of Tourism Studies

As part of its commitment to training hospitality professionals who are open to the world and fully prepared for international careers, the École Hôtelière de Genève has established an academic partnership with the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta.

The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) is Malta’s leading educational institution dedicated to the hospitality and tourism professions. It offers a wide range of training programs, from Foundation to Masters level. Renowned for its hands-on approach to teaching, ITS favors human-sized classes, enabling individualized support for students and promoting excellent employability, often even before graduation.

As an academic partner affiliated with leading international universities, ITS offers a comprehensive, international learning experience. In addition to academic courses, the institution offers continuing education and specializations that enable students to enhance their skills and stand out in a highly competitive professional market.

An academic partnership with an international dimension

The EHG x ITS partnership

Thanks to this collaboration, first-year, first-semester EHG students travel to Malta for an immersive week dedicated to reinforcing their oral and written communication skills in English, specifically adapted to the hospitality and service sectors. This program enables them to improve their pronunciation, fluency and ease in professional exchanges, while developing vocabulary and expressions specific to the hospitality industry.

Students take part in real-life situations, including customer interactions and service dialogues, as well as cultural exchange activities designed to reinforce intercultural understanding, team spirit and adaptability.

This partnership represents a real added value in the academic career of EHG students, preparing them for international internships and careers, while offering them a strong academic and human experience, based on cultural exchange, professional learning and mutual enrichment between future hospitality professionals.
