Semester 1 Practical and Theoretical Foundations of Hotel Management

Commencez votre parcours dans le monde de l'hôtellerie avec une base solide alliant théorie et pratique

This module combines general culture, business management and exploration of the complex world of catering and hospitality.
All the theoretical knowledge acquired (regulations, menu planning, equipment and materials, knowledge of food and beverage pairing, service and sales techniques, reception, reservations, housekeeping, etc.) will be applied to the practical aspects of the course.

At the same time, you’ll benefit from practical training at the Restaurant Vieux-Bois and at our partner, the Geneva Marriott Hotel, where you’ll gain valuable experience with real customers. This unique combination paves the way for your future professional experience and career in the hospitality industry.

Semester 2 Internship I in Switzerland 5-6 months

Immerse yourself in the real world of hospitality with a paid internship in Switzerland. With the support of our dedicated internship office and exclusive student platform, you’ll find opportunities with top companies. Take part in our biannual recruitment forum where over 50 leading companies come to recruit our students. This hands-on experience is crucial to developing professional skills and building industry connections, making you a sought-after candidate as soon as you graduate.

Semester 3 Advanced Hotel Management and Event Planning

Acquérir les connaissances en gestion et planification des activités d’un hôtel et d’un restaurant, savoir encadrer l’activité et maîtriser son développement.

Broaden your skills with advanced theoretical studies in hotel management. This semester covers all administrative subjects, from theory (accounting, Swiss law, political economy) to operating and control techniques in hotel reception and catering. You’ll also organize visits, conferences and events, while enhancing your general knowledge and language skills (English and German). In addition, you’ll be asked to organize a gala dinner or event, putting your project management and event organization skills into practice. Prepare for leadership roles by strengthening your analytical and managerial skills.

Semester 4 Internship II: Swiss or International 5-6 months

Continue building your professional experience with a second paid internship, in Switzerland or abroad. Take on more advanced roles such as operational assistant manager or administrative assistant. Our internship office provides personalized advice to help you land the ideal position, enabling you to deepen your practical knowledge and strengthen your presence in the hospitality industry.

Semester 5 Management, Strategic Planning and Diploma Work

Développer la vision globale et les techniques permettant d’assurer le succès économique, commercial et social d’une entreprise.

Develop your strategic thinking and business acumen during this crucial academic semester. You’ll learn how to master management tools and apply them to the hospitality industry. Courses are clearly management-oriented, covering areas such as human resources management, marketing, communication, financial management and technical aspects. You’ll also take part in an entrepreneurial bootcamp, where you’ll present your project to a panel of professionals. In addition, you’ll work on a real-life case study that you’ll have to defend in front of experts, constituting your diploma paper. This comprehensive approach prepares you for high-level management positions and entrepreneurial initiatives.

Semester 6 Internship III: Switzerland or International 5-6 months

End your studies with a final paid work placement, in Switzerland or abroad. Focus on advanced operational or administrative roles, solidifying your practical experience and preparing you to enter the job market immediately. Graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in a variety of high-demand positions in the hospitality industry and beyond. With ongoing support from our internship office and access to our extensive network of industry partners, you’ll be well positioned to launch a successful career.
